She was born in East Freedom, daughter of the late Thomas Earl "Bull" and Pauline May (Fowkes) Snyder. On October 19, 1957, she married Ellis Dean Rhodes in Roaring Spring. He preceded her in death April 17, 2012, after 54 years of marriage.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Tom Snyder.
Marjorie attended Roaring Spring High School and was a longtime, active member of First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring where she served in various capacities. She was also a member and officer for the former Roaring Spring Chapter #121 Order of the Eastern Star.
She was a loving, meticulous homemaker, who enjoyed camping, adventurous water sports and attending all her grandchildren's sporting events. Her children's fondest memory was taking a cruise and snorkeling in the sea with their mom.
Friends will be received from 10am until noon, Saturday, December 11, 2021, at The First Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring, where a funeral service will follow at noon, at the church, Pastor David Crumrine officiating. Private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
