Bill was born March 5, 1942 in Shenandoah, PA to the late George F. Southam and Meurice Boyle Southam.
Bill was a graduate of Henry C. Conrad High School (1959), University of Delaware (1966) and East Carolina University (1971),
He served in the US Army as a Personnel Specialist and continued in that line of work for 34 years for the State of Delaware in Personnel Management with the Department of Labor, Transportation and Pension Offices. Bill enjoyed genealogy, building computers, stamp collecting, flea marketing and lending a helping hand to those in need.
He is survived by his wife Beverlyann Merkel Southam; stepdaughter Beth Dunnum (Rick); grandchildren Nolan and Nyah Dunnum of Mountaintop, PA; brother Dale Southam (Linda) of Wilmington.
Services will be held in the Chapel at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, DE on December 30, 2021 at 2 in the afternoon.
