Born April 20, 1948, in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Callohan Rowland and Frances Eanes Rowland.
She was predeceased by seven brothers, Willie Rowland, Jr., Paul Rowland, Harvey Rowland, Thomas Rowland, Lonnie Rowland, Jim Rowland, and Robert Rowland.
Left to cherish her memories are her husband, Jerry Lee Jones of the residence; two daughters, Kelly King and husband, Rodney of Gretna, and Sheila Walden and husband, John of Gretna; one sister, Gertrude Yates of Gretna; and four grandchildren, Joseph King of Gretna, Blake Towler of Gretna, Lisa King of Gretna, and Heather Williams of Lynchburg.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 6, 2021, at Carl O. Moran Memorial Garden by Rev. R.G. Rowland. The family will receive friends at the residence of her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and John Walden, Gretna. Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna is assisting the family.
