Accident Victim's Widow Said in Critical Condition
Mrs. Lottie Botts, 46, of 4800 Wylie lane, who was injured Saturday night in an automobile accident near Meadows which claimed the life of her husband, Joseph P. (Jim) Botts, was in "critical" condition Sunday night in St. Alphonsus hospital.
Mrs. Botts was transferred to the hospital Sunday from the Council Community hospital. Services are pending for Mr. Botts, who was born July 5, 1893, at Rice, Wash. He was married in July, 1935, at Yakima, Wash., to Lottie Tisdale and the couple moved to Boise 10 years ago from Tacoma.
He had been employed as a salesman for the Western Equipment company for the last five years. He was superintendent of the Coulee dam, superintendent of construction for the gun plant at Pocatello, was employed as an engineer for the Morrison-Knudsen Construction company for several years and had worked for the state highway department. He served with the engineers during World war I.
He was a member of Boise lodge No. 310, BPOE.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Garth J. Botts of Spokane, Wash., and Larry P. Botts of Los Angeles; four daughters, Mrs. Vivian A. Walters, Rita Mae Botts and Dorothy M. Botts, all of Boise, and Mrs. Sandy Polulis of Los Angeles; two brothers, Oscar and Fred Botts, both of Spokane; one sister, Mrs. Nellie Fryett of Spokane, and five grandchildren.
Relyea chapel is arranging services.
