Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend James Pendell officiating. Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Born November 30, 1942, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Chauncy Jerome Brownlee and Ora Lee Eure Brownlee. She attended the Church of the Nazarene in several states. She traveled the world supporting her Naval career husband. Karen retired from Florida School Book Depository after a long successful career.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Gena L. Wagner; sisters, Docia Brownlee Fussell, Marilyn D. Mabbitt; stepmother, Bernice Bowers Brownlee.
Survivors include her husband, Ronald Lester Beasley of Moultrie; son, Gregory D. Beasley of Raleigh North Carolina; daughter, Mary Cosby of Middleburg, Florida; son-in-law, Charles (Laurie) Wagner of Catonsville, Maryland; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
