She was a dear and loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her. Leah and her husband D.K. were longtime residents of the Swan Valley and Missoula area.
Leah was married to the love of her life, D.K. Mitchell, on May 13, 1989. She loved sewing, quilting, antiques, the Montana outdoors, family history and being surrounded by her family.
Leah was preceded in death by her parents and infant daughter Rebecca. Survivors include her husband D.K. Mitchell; her sons, Richard Palmer; Russell Palmer; and Shawn Helvick; stepson Raul Brown; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Nancy Sprague; brothers John Goforth; Robert Goforth; Edward Goforth; and Donald Goforth; plus, she'll be missed by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
