Sylvia Evelyn Wilson, 99, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of New Martinsville, WV, passed away Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Bon Secours Maria Manor Nursing Center St. Petersburg, FL.
She was born October 24, 1922 in Parkersburg, WV a daughter of the late William F. and Rosa M. Craig Drain.
She was a 1940 graduate of Parkersburg High School. She was the former owner of Eve's of New Martinsville on Main Street during 1970's & 80's, a member of the First Presbyterian Church New Martinsville, the Quota Club, and the former Red Hat club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, R. Bryan Wilson; son, Joseph Wilson; and daughter, Judy Helsel.
Survivors include a daughter, Leslie Gay of St. Petersburg, FL; five grandchildren, Jason Powers, Kay Lynn Salvati, Kevin Quinet, Chris Quinet and James Helsel; 5 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 9, 2021, from Noon until time of the service at 1:00 pm at the Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory 751 Third St. New Martinsville, WV, with Pastor Bill Stokes officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park New Martinsville.
