Miss Almaraz was born Jan. 9, 1986, in Del Rio Texas, to Maria and Armando. She moved to Arizona in 1991. She worked as a cosmetologist.
She is survived by her parents Armando and Maria; two brothers, Armando Jr. and Eddie; and four grandparents, Guadalupe and Aurelia Ortiz, and Maria and David Sr.
A funeral Mass was celebrated Nov. 24 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Phoenix. Deacon Ernesto Almaraz presided. Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale.
Crystal Rose Funeral Home in Tolleson made the arrangements. She was murdered by her Ex-boyfriend.
Judge Timothy Ryan sentenced him to life in prison without the possibly of parole until after 25 years served. He pled guilty to first degree murder.
