Kevin Grant King, 65, of Lubbock, Texas, went on to be with the LORD on November 27, 2021. Kevin was born October 24, 1956, to James Harold King and Barbara King (Rose) in Victorville California.

Kevin served our country in the Navy for 8 years. He served our country proud and he bled for our country each and every day of his life. He took pride in serving his country and he stood strong for his country each and every day of his life. He was a Vietnam Veteran and during the Navy, he served on the USS Mobile LKA-115, the USS Dixon AS-37, and the USS Sperry AS-12. During his service, he earned a certificate for a machinery repairman.

Kevin worked at Little Rock Tool service for many years as a mechanical/tooling engineer, then onto Tyco Fire Products (which then became Johnson Fire Controls). His work was his passion. He put everything he had into his work and made sure that only the finest of tools and machinery were manufactured and created when he was creating them to be sent out to be used by others.

Apart from his work that he cherished and loved, he loved spending time outdoors. If he was outside, he was either working on a project, building something, OR his favorite thing, hunting. Of all the passions and things he loved to do, his favorite of all was spending time with his family and his daughter and grandsons. He had a passion for his daughter that went beyond that of being simply astonishing. He loved his daughter with every bone in his body and his grandsons were just as loved and cherished. He spent his spare time devoted to creating things and building new projects whether that was around the house, or for others. His family was his pride and his joy. He was devoted to his faith in GOD and served the LORD throughout his life.

Survivors are his daughter, Ashley King-Small, (Anthony Small), of Benton Arkansas, his two grandsons Aidan and Austin Aulenback, 3 sisters: Sheryl (Joseph Forth) and Vickie Kreis of Michigan and Brenda (David Stephens) of Texas, and 1 brother, Michael Rose of California.

Funeral services will be held at Ashby's Funeral home in Benton, Arkansas, located at 108 W Narroway St. Benton, AR. 72015 on December 6th at 10 AM, burial to follow at 12 PM at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Sherwood AR at 1501 W Maryland Ave, North Little Rock, AR. 72120. The visitation will be held at Ashby's Funeral home on December 5th from 6 PM to 8 PM.
