She was born on May 8, 1934, to the late Addie Adkins Gibson Williams and the late Fletcher Lee Buck Gibson.
She was predeceased by her husband James William Lawrence.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her sons Bobby Gentry and Dennis Ray Lawrence, her brothers Jimmy Gibson, Willard Gibson, Vernon Gibson, and Alton Gibson, and her sisters Myrtle Gibson, Janie Gibson, and Shirley Newcomb.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter Donna Beam of Danville, Virginia; her sons Earl Wayne Gentry of Whitesburg, Kentucky, and Jimmy Gentry of Naples, Florida; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, November 1, 2021, at Norris Funeral Services' Mt. Hermon Chapel with Pastor Hershel Stone officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, from 6:00 to 7:30 PM at the same location. Interment will follow at Highland Burial Park. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. & Crematory, Mt.
