Age 94, of Cave City, Kentucky, passed away at NHC Healthcare.

Daniel and Madie (Zimmerman) Lee

Husband of:
Alice (Reynolds) Lee

He was a graduate of Cave City High School.

Military:
He served his country honorably and was a United States Army Veteran, having served more than a year in Japan in the Army of Occupation.

He attended Western Kentucky State College from 1948 to 1952, when he was hired for his first permanent National Park Service position at Abraham Lincoln's Birthplace. For the next thirty-four years, he advanced in the Park Service, eventually becoming superintendent of Custer Battlefield National Monument (now Little Big Horn) in Montana, and finally of Vicksburg National Military Park, where he retired.

He was a member of Cave City United Methodist Church.

He was made a Kentucky Colonel for his work in securing a Kentucky monument at Vicksburg National Military Park in 2001.

Services:
Cremation was chosen.

Memorial services held at Cave City United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 4, 2021 under direction of Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, Cave City.
