She was born December 15, 1948 to the late James and Anna McCollum and was one of five daughters. She was a life-long resident of Hazel Green and a 1967 graduate of Hazel Green High School. She had worked in accounting until her retirement.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Aubrey McGinnis, and her sister, Rose Marie Miller.
She is survived by three sisters: Jimmie Sue (Benny) Moore and Mary Elizabeth Beasley, both of Hazel Green; JoAnn Fann of Atlanta; Her caregiver and nephew, Jason (Kim) Miller; Nephew, Brad (Amy) DeWeese; Nieces, Susan (David) Wright, Sandi (Wayne) Wilburn, Jeanne (Chan) Perkins, Amy (Michael) Frazier, Anna (Paul) Arnold, and Andrea (David) Marsh. She is also survived by her special friend, Rick Jones.
There will be a graveside service on Tuesday, Nov. 30th, at 2pm at Concord Cemetery.
Jean will be dearly missed.
