Hobertine 'Jackie' Hazelwood, 86, died December 8, 2007 in Forest Park, OK. She was born March 7, 1921 in Stroud, OK. She graduated from Northeast High School in OKC, was a 50 year member of the Eastern Star, a member of the Oklahoma Mineral and Gem Society, associated with the American Federation of Mineralogical Society, the Rocky Mountain Mineralogical Society, State Council of Mineralogical Society of Oklahoma, Oklahoma Genealogical Society, Oklahoma Historical Society, First Families of the Twin Territories, founding member of the Sooner Dreamer Camper Club, various flower clubs, the Sam Noble Natural History Museum, the Omniplex Museum where she enjoyed putting on earth sciences programs, and the Mimosa Heights Christian Church. Jackie was preceded in death by her mother and father, George and Alice Davis, and sons, infant Hazelwood, George Hazelwood and Paul Hazelwood. She was an Air Force wife of 66 years. Survivors include her husband, Chester Hazelwood; a son, Larry Hazelwood and wife Farhat Husain, M.D.; a daughter, Pamela Hazelwood Kellogg and husband Cal Kellogg, PhD.; grandchildren, Chris Stiglets and wife Jissica, Eric Stiglets and wife Stacey, Carol Hazelwood and Steven Hazelwood; great-grandchildren, Allison Stiglets, Ashley Stiglets, Cy Stiglets and Keaton Stiglets. The family would like to thank all the medical personal that helped her through these hard times. Memorial donations may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M., Thurs., Dec. 13, 2007, at Smith & Kernke Chapel, 1401 NW 23rd. Interment will follow in the Arlington Memorial Gardens.
