Mr. Ronald Jon "Ronnie" Loewenstein, Jr., age 22, died Friday , October 21, 1983 in Hattiesburg, Ms.

Ronnie was a native of Port Jervis, N.Y. and had resided in Ocean Springs, Ms. for many years. He attended Ocean Springs High School from 1976 - 78 and graduated from Homedale High School in Homedale, Pa. He also served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He had been living in Hattiesburg for two months and was employed with Donald Logging, INC.. Ronnie was killed when the Mor-Bell shearer he was operating was struck by an 18-wheeler on U.S. Hwy 59.

He is survived by his father; Ronald J. Loewenstein Sr., Fort Worth, Tx., his mother; Mrs. Ruth Hurd and step-father; Mr. Joseph Hurd, Hattiesburg, Ms., three sisters; Mrs. Colleen L. Kricus, Pasadena, Tx., Mrs. Deanna L. Dale, Gautier, Ms., Jean K. Loewenstein, Hattiesburg, Ms., borther; Joseph Hurd, Jr., Hattiesburg, Ms., and his grandparents; Mr. and Mrs. Herman Loewenstein, Dale City, Fl., and Mrs. Jean Ross, Ocean Springs, Ms.

Friends may call tonight, Tuesday, October 25, from 6 - 10 p.m. at Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Home in Ocean Springs, Ms.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 26, at noon in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Bellande Cemetery in Ocean Springs, Ms.
