Richard A. Hanson, age 76, of Norfolk, passed away on October 26, 2021 at Milton Hospital surrounded by the comfort of his loving family. He was the son of the late William P. and Rachel (Waterfield) Hanson.

Rick was born on January 1, 1945 in Boston and was raised and educated in Foxborough, earning his GED at the age of 40. He proudly served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed as a machinist at the former Foxboro Company.

Rick enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, camping, reading and relaxing. He was a former member of the American Legion, the Foxborough Fish & Game, Good Sam's Camper's Club and the Jolly Foxes and Foxes Den Camping Clubs. Rick enjoyed spending time in Nickerson State Park in Brewster, Dewitt's Family Camping in Eastham and down back at the homestead in Foxborough. He most enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather.
