Son of Jacob S Beck and Mary Rachel Sharp. During WWI, from Dec 2017 to Aug 2019, he was an Army private. He served overseas with hospital train #67 from May 2018 to Aug 2019. He was a school teacher in 1920, an insurance salesman in 1930, and a mail carrier in 1940 and 1950. On May 12, 1921 in Punxautawney PA, he married Martha Belle McCormick (1900-2001). Their children were :

1. Kathyrn Jane (b. 1922), m. Raymond C Walker (1916-1972)
2. Mary Berniece (b. 1926), m. Charles Houston (d. 1990)
3. Hugh Sharp (b. 1933)
