She was preceded in death by her parents.
Eleanor was a 1954 graduate of Martinsville High School and 1955 graduate of Varner's Beauty School in Paris, IL. She was a homemaker and a licensed beautician. She was a talented artist and cake decorator. She decorated cakes for the Casey IGA for many years. Eleanor enjoyed flower gardening, crocheting, arts, crafts and painting; she could paint anything. Her memberships include Singing Sams, President of Westfield Baptist Association, Gas Light Art Association, Bible Study Fellowship and Glorietta New Mexico Women's Retreat.
Eleanor was a member of the Martinsville First Baptist Church prior to joining Five Points Church in 1996. She enjoyed participating with the ladies of the Church in their many activities. Most important to her was her faith in God and her love for her family, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren; they were her greatest joy. She prayed daily for her precious family. Her favorite scripture was John 3:16-17; For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Cemetery, Martinsville, IL.
