Mae Martin, 86, of Bedford, passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 2:15 a.m. at IU Health Bedford Hospital.

She was born on January 1, 1935, in Ritner, Kentucky to Oliver Clark and Zina (Morrow) Clark. Mae married Noble Gene Martin on July 16, 1954, and he survives.

Mae was a retired machine operator at Westinghouse/ABB in Bloomington for 29 years, she was a faithful member of the Grace Baptist Church in Springville for 48 years. She was a Godly woman who loved her family and husband, they played beautiful music together, she loved to sing gospel music, quilt, cooking, and spoil her grandkids.

Survivors include her husband, Noble Gene Martin, her children, Mildred (Bob) Cox, Linda Martin, Annette (Bruce) Sturgeon, and Rex (Lou Ann) Martin, one sister, Delta Turner, 19 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, three brothers, one daughter, Charlene Silvers.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, November 20, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Cresthaven Funeral Home, with Brother Bob Phillips, officiating, burial will follow in Springville West Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 19, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p,m, at Cresthaven Funeral Home.
