Oliver Silas Clark was born November 21, 1901 in Wayne County, and departed this life Tuesday, January 6, 1987 at Sunrise Manor Nursing Home in Somerset, having reached the age of 85 years, one month and 16 days.

He was the son of Harve and Mollie Jones Clark, both of whom preceded him in death.

On November 8, 1924 he was united in marriage to Zina Morrow Clark, who now resides in Stearns, Kentucky. To this 62 year union seven children survive: three sons, Willie, Noel and Henry; four daughters, Alta Branscm, Flonnie Coffey, Mae Martin and Delta Tucker; one brother, Bob Clark; one sister, Lonnie Dick.

Preceding him in death are his parents, one sister, Dina Tucker and two brothers, Ulas and Sherman Clark.

Oliver accepted Christ as his savior and was a member of United Baptist Church of Wolfe Ridge where he remained faithful as long as his health permitted.

Funeral services were held January 8 with burial in the Foster Cemetery.
