Charles proudly served and retired from the US Navy as a Commander and was a Vietnam Veteran. He then retired from the Virginia Beach Sheriff's Office. Charles was an avid fisherman and golfer that joined the Volunteer Kempsville Rescue Squad as well.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 44 years, Jean Elizabeth Seward; his two sons, Robert W. Hanna & wife Kimberly and Michael D. Hanna; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; along with extended family members and friends.
A Visitation will be held from 1-2pm on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Hollomon-Brown Funeral, Princess Anne Chapel. A funeral service in the funeral home chapel will follow the visitation at 2:00 p.m. A procession to Colonial Grove Memorial Park will follow the service.
