Strother A. Shackelford, aged 86, a prominent citizen of Stafford County died at his home near Garrisonville Friday evening, after an illness of several months. He is survived by a wife and ten children: James T. Shackelford of Onville; Sarah A. Jett, Richmond; Mary E, Dye, Hartwood; Emma J. Decatur, Onville; John W. Shackelford, Garrisonville; Lucy C. Decatur, Washington; Agnes L. Homes, Toluca; Mattie L. Shannon, Baltimore; Lillie B. Garrison, Baltimore; and Frank A. Shackelford, Washington. Funeral services from the home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 with interment in family lot near Garrisonville.
