Mary Louise Ziegler was born on June 16, 1935 to Herbert W Ziegler and Winnifred Hancey in Fossil, Wyoming. She was born in a box car, as her father worked for the railroad at the time.

She married Rulon Sanford Kay in the Logan Temple on November 28, 1951.

Mary went back into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father on November 11, 2021, after a courageous battle with COVID. She was surrounded by her loved ones and friends, who will continue her legacy by living their lives after her example.

She was a loving wife and mother. Those who knew her called her a noble and great one.

Mary spent her life giving of herself "creatively". She loved cooking, catering weddings and making beautiful wedding cakes, sewing, teaching boys how to fish and loved the wood shop.

She served in many callings and on a temple mission with Sandy. She was a faithful member of the wards she lived in. She loved reading and studying the scriptures to gain knowledge of our Savior.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert W. Ziegler and Winnifred Hancey, her son; Brad, daughter; Annette and her husband, Rulon.
