After her junior year of high school, Patsy moved out and started on her own, working at the K-42 drive-in and other jobs. Soon after she stared attending church she recognized a need for a Savior and accepted Christ into her life. She started working at Friends University. It wasn't long before she caught the eye of a gangly farm kid named Glen from Burr Oak, KS. They eventually married and moved to a dairy farm near Burr Oak and attended Northbranch Friends Church where they farmed and raised 3 boys, Alan, Tim & Kevin. From those three sons, came daughter-in-laws Barbara, Wanda & Susan, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Patsy helped on occasion with the farm work, but eventually found her own niche running a small business baking and decorating cakes. Everything from small birthday cakes to large wedding cakes. Some years baking over a 100 cakes for neighbors, friends, and family.
Patsy and Glen taught Sunday School, Youth Classes, kept 3 exchange students, and also hosted several Foster Teens. They impacted numerous young lives for Christ over the course of their lives.
Preceding her in death were her parents, sisters Glenace and Roberta and her brother, Gene.
Surviving are her husband, Glen; sisters Joyce, Verna, Meredith, and Ruthie; brother Leroy; her children Alan and Barbara Warner, Tim and Wanda Warner, and Kevin and Susan Warner; grandchildren Andrew Warner, Ashley and David Beier, Allison Warner, Weston Warner, Whitney and Jordan Kerr, and Bethany and Shane Knauth; and great grandchild Evan Beier.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 11:00 am, November 20, 2021 at the Northbranch Friends Church with Homer Smuck officiating. Interment will be at the Northbranch Cemetery.
