John R. Moreland, age 87 of Cobden, died Monday, November 8, 2021 at Integrity Healthcare in Cobden.
He was born July 14, 1934 in Cobden, the son of Paul and Millicent (Black) Moreland.
He married Delaine on September 3, 1955.
John is survived by his wife, Delaine; daughter, Terri (John); son, Shawn; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Pamela D. Richards; sister, Mary Sue (Marvin) Caraker; niece, Candice Paige Hayward; nephew, Jason P. Caraker.
John was a member of the Ainad Shrine Club and the Cobden Masonic Lodge #466 for more than 50 years. He was a life member of the Moose Lodge in Anna and was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at the Rendleman & Hileman Funeral Home in Cobden.
Interment will be in the Cobden Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Masonic rites will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
