Miss Aletta Y. Stewart
Miss Aletta Y. Stewart, died Tuesday morning, Nov. 16, 1937, at her home in 104 South Erie street, Mercer. Death followed a short Illness.

A lifelong resident of the Mercer community, she was born Nov. 20, 1865, to William and Alletta Gaston Stewart. Her father was a former member of Congress and Miss Stewart herself was active politically in the county. The family resided at the old Stewart homestead on West Market street, which is now occupied by Hon J.A. McLaughry.

Following the death of her mother in 1910, Miss Stewart moved to the residence of Miss Ina Stewart 9no relation), where she has lived for the past 21 years. Miss Stewart was a member of the Mercer Presbyterian church and was a native in the affairs of the community.

She leaves four nieces and two nephews.

Rev. Claude S. Conley will conducted funeral services from the late residence at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18. Burial in the Mercer cemetery.
