Hall of Fame Professional Football Player and Professional Wrestler. Mosca was drafted out of Notre Dame by the Philadelphia Eagles in 1959 but had already decided to play in the Canadian Football League. He played for 15 seasons as a defensive tackle, first for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats from 1958 to 1959, the Ottawa Rough Riders from 1960 to 1961, the Montreal Alouettes in 1962 and back to the Hamilton Tiger-Cats from 1962 to 1972. During his career he played in 201 games including 5 Gray Cup Games. He was a 5 time CFL East All-Star, a 2 time league All-Star and inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 1987. He was also inducted into the Hamilton Sports Hall of Fame, the Ontario Sports Hall of Fame, and his jersey number 68 was retired by the Hamilton Tiger-Cats. In the football off-season Mosca began working as a professional wrestler where he became most notably known as King Kong Mosca. He worked for many promotions in the USA and Canada including Stampede Wrestling, the AWA, the NWA and the WWF (now WWE). Although he won many titles in most every promotion he worked, he never held a title in the WWF (now WWE). He retired from wrestling in 1986.
