Dale W. Jones, 72 of Watson, passed away Friday, November 5, 2021 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.

Dale was born July 30, 1949 in Effingham, the son of Robert and Velma (Hooker) Jones. "Jonesy" was known in his younger days for his softball pitching skills; pitching many no-hitters. He worked as a pressman at World Color Press in Effingham for many years and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan.

Dale is survived by his daughters, Pamela (Joe) Henderson of Camargo, Cheryl (Todd) Apke of Effingham and Jill (Clint) Knierim of Effingham; son, Adam Jones (Joshua Alexander) of Collinsville; brother, Gary (Rhonda) Jones of Bradenton, FL; grandchildren, Bryce Batchelor, Evan Knierim, Ella Knierim, Teaghan Henderson and Rowan Knierim; special friend, Kim Ullrich and her family.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Duane; sister, Linda and nephew, Jason Jones.

Burial in Watson Cemetery.
