Donald L. Ward, 79, of Oakland City, passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021 at home. He was born February 2, 1942 in Princeton to Ray and Geneva (Koerner) Ward. He was a graduate of PHS Class of 1960. He did construction work and concrete finishing for several years. He had formerly worked at Richardson Lumber Company and more recently for the DNR at the Sugar Ridge Fish & Wildlife Area in Winslow. He had previously served on the Oakland City City Council. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and jigsaw puzzles.

Donald is survived by his wife, Dee (Marshall) Ward, to whom he was married in February 2003; children, Robert Ward (Jackie) of Lynnville, Donella Tepe (Dennis) of Oakland City and Tim Ward (Connie) of Winslow; grandchildren, June and Rueger Ward, Kirsten, Kyle, Kaden and Klaudia Tepe, Dakota and Justin Ward and Samantha Bleemel; and sister, Connie Schuh of California.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Judy Whitehouse and Bonnie Satterfield; and brothers, Bill and Bob Ward.

Burial at Montgomery Cemetery in Oakland City.
