Jack Edward Miller, 96 of Tyrone died November 2, 2021. He was born in Tyrone, on April 6, 1925, the son of the late Paul Edward and Helen Elizabeth (Cassady) Miller. He is survived by one daughter: Cindy (Tom) Kimberling; two grandchildren: Dawn , and Chris (Tiffany Nevling) DeHaas; four great grandchildren: Moriah, Luke, and Marc Hite, and Landen DeHaas; and one great-great grandson: Zander Barnes. He was preceded in death by his former wife: Othella Stonebraker: his companion of many years: Becky Loose; one daughter: Joy Hoffman; and two brothers: Robert and Donald Miller.

Jack was a 1944 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church Tyrone and retired from WestVaco as a pulp mill operator. Jack served honorably in the US Navy during World War II and received the WWII Victory Ribbon.

Jack was a life member of the Tyrone Elks BPOE 212, the VFW, and the Legion. He was also a member of the Cooties.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing, the ocean, Saturday breakfast at D'Ottavios, and Publishers Clearing house. What he loved most was his family: his daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandson.

He was everyone's Pappy Jack.

A 4 pm celebration of life service for Jack Edward Miller will be held on Friday, November 5, 2021, at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Deacon Jack Hoffer officiating. Friends will be received on Friday from 2 pm until the 4 pm service. Contributions in Jack's memory may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 830 Washington Ave, Tyrone, PA 16686, or the Tyrone Food Bank, 1200 Logan Ave. Tyrone, PA 16686.
