Steven "Steve" J. Munson, 55 of Temperance, MI, died Saturday, June 18, 2016.
Born April 1, 1961, in Toledo, OH, he was the son of the late Jerry Munson and Maryanne Barbara (Holt-Hughes) Munson Fisher. Steve was a 1979 graduate of Whiteford High School.
He worked as a paramedic in the Toledo, OH; area for over 20 years. He enjoyed traveling to different lighthouses in Michigan, NASCAR, planes, but most of all helping other people.
He is survived by his significant other, Darlene Nidek; his sons, Jeremy and Joshua Munson; mother, Maryanne Fisher; granddaughter, Kaylee Munson; siblings, Chris (Petra) Munson, Belinda (Donald) Burgbacher, Diane (Anthony) Pistilli, Thomas (Pam) Munson, Lisa (Greg) Martin and Jeff (Nancy) Fisher. He was preceded in death by his father, step-father, John R. Fisher and brother, Rick Fisher.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00 pm, Thursday, June 23, 2016, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road; Temperance, Michigan where a memorial service will follow at 7:00 pm. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
