Amalia (Molly) Marie Tuck Lassig Stringham peacefully passed away on December 8 of Natural Causes at Wasatch Care Center. She was born February 10, 1909 in Denver, Colorado, and died on the birthday of her daughter, Julie.

She married Don Garry Lassig March 16, 1934 in the Salt Lake Temple. Don died in 1984. They had nine children. Molly married Dell Bryant Stringham on September 12, 1992. Dell died December 13, 2000. Molly attended special classes in German and art at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn., and the University of Utah. Molly sang with the Tabernacle Choir for two years while her husband served a mission. She was a devout Latter-day Saint, having served in many church callings in Primary, Sunday School, and Relief Society, as teacher, Relief Society president, and first counselor in the stake Relief Society presidency. Molly served three missions for the church, the first one locally and the last two in England and the German-speaking countries of Europe. She served as an ordinance worker in the Salt Lake Temple. Molly was a master re-toucher of photographs in the 1930s. She was hired in the 1930s to do the delicate work of hand coloring church missionary slides. Molly was a beautiful artist, but that talent took a back seat to care for her family. Her loves in life were the Gospel (she memorized hundreds of scriptures and could recite them by heart even until shortly before her death), her family (especially the babies) and the missionary club "The 49ers" (which has met almost monthly for the past 70 years).

Molly is survived by eight children: Peter (Janet), Julie (Frank), Theo (Sue), Ruth (Klaus), Mary, Paul (June), MollyAnne (Bruce) and daughter-in-law Phyllis Lassig. Molly was preceded in death by her parents (including her mother who died at Molly's birth), both husbands, Don and Dell, a daughter, Aleta, a son, Harold, a granddaughter, Aleta, a daughter-in-law Sylvia Lassig, a son-in-law Dave Dipo and a grandson, David Dipo, II. What a joyous reunion for her!! Thanks to Dell's children for their support of Mom during the years since his death. Thanks to all the staff at Apple Village Assisted Living in Layton, for their loving and tender care for three years. Also to the wonderful, tender, caring people at Wasatch Care Center in Ogden. They truly made it "home" for her for the last three years.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, Dec. 15, at 11 a.m. at the Larkin Sunset Lawn Mortuary at 2350 East 1300 South in Salt Lake City, with a viewing one hour before.
