Magnolia Swallows, age 94 of Monterey passed away Monday afternoon, November 1, 2021 at her home. She was born April 25, 1927 in Overton County to the late Arthur and Maude Anne Bowman Phillips.
Magnolia was retired from food service at Monterey High School.
She leaves behind her son: Randall Swallows (Barb Burke) of Dayton, Ohio; brothers: Junior (Joyce) Phillips and Charles (Wanda) Phillips - both of Arizona; Elza Swallows of Monterey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Loyd Melvin Swallows; son: Russell Swallows; brother: Luther Phillips; and three infant brothers: J.R., Kenneth Phillips and Harold Phillips.
Funeral services were held Monday, November 8, 2021 at Horner Funeral Home with Bro. Merle Miller officiating. Interment followed at Welch Memorial Cemetery.
