Linda Meadows Hughes, age 82, of Brownsville, Texas passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. Linda was born October 27, 1938 to Delmar Meadows and Mahlon Meadows.
Linda, who was born in Lawrence County, Indiana, was an active piano player since the early age of 4 years old. She remained active in her piano playing throughout her whole life, playing in church. Her entire life, she also wrote poetry and stories and in 2019, her dream of becoming a published author came true.
Linda is survived by her daughter Karen Baker; grandson Robert Baker (Melissa), granddaughter Ashley Baker and 5 great grandchildren.
Linda was preceded in death by her spouse Bobby Hughes; daughter Bobbi Garcia; father Mahlon Meadows and mother Delmar Meadows.
A visitation for Linda will be held Monday, October 25, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at New Harvest Ministries Church. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at 9:00 AM, at New Harvest Ministries Church followed by a burial at 10:00 AM at Rose Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Serving as pallbearers are Robert Baker, Daniel Hodnett, Andrew Anguiano, Brian Miller, Tom Carruba and Sostenes Mireles.
