Thomas Daniel Lawson, 64, of Boulder, Colorado passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2019. Tom was born on May 2, 1955 in Denver, CO to Allen "Big Al" and Billette "Billie" Lawson.

He grew up in Golden, CO with his three brothers and graduated high school at Wheat Ridge High School in 1973, then attended University of Northern Colorado on a football scholarship. He eventually transferred to the University of Colorado at Boulder, graduating in 1979. During his time at CU, he met the love of his life, Sheila, and they were married in 1985.

Throughout his life, Tom worked in the oil and gas industry as a Landman, eventually owning a successful business with his wife for over 15 years in Glenwood Springs, CO, where they also raised their two daughters.

He had a profound respect and love of life, oftentimes playing his guitar, river rafting, and spending cherished time with friends and family. Such a courageous yet gentle soul, Tom was a true leader in life, forever challenging himself and others to reach as high as you possibly can for the stars. In 2014, Tom suffered a devastating accident that left him quadriplegic, however, his unwavering positivity, gratitude, and "zest for life" as many would say, were nothing short of miraculous throughout his remarkable journey.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Sheila Kay Lawson; daughters, Leanna Christine Lawson and Kelly Rae Lawson; granddaughter, Ella Rae Lawson; brothers, John Allen Lawson (Margaret "Meg"), Donald Charles Lawson (Karen), James Lee Lawson; several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Pallbearers were: John, Don, Jim, and Erik Lawson, Mike and Jerry McCall, Bruce Kennedy, and Steve McCarthy.
