Nina Jane Larrabee was born on May 4th, 1948 in Peggs, OK, the daughter of Larch and Lillie (Ketcher) Tucker. She grew up with two brothers and one sister, Mary Ann, Robert Lee and Johnson. She attended school and then began her studies in Social work. Upon graduating, she went to work for the Cherokee Nation working in the Social Services department. She loved helping people that needed her and always made her clients feel warm, needed, and like they were with an old friend. She was the proud mother of three sons and one daughter, Timothy, Sandra, Randall and Charles. They were her pride and joy, and she loved any chance she got to spend time with them. When she wasn't working, she liked going to concerts and considered Kid Rock and country music some of her favorite genres. She liked to go to the kitchen and whip up some fry bread and made the best biscuits and gravy. She possessed a green thumb and raised beautiful flowers. She loved her Cherokee heritage and spent hours on Cherokee Appreciation Day, raising money for the various communities. She was cheerful, loving, kind and constantly gave of herself. She was the biggest supporter of her grandchildren, and loved to watch them in their many endeavors. She liked hanging out with Sue, Effie, Carolyn and Teresa, and seeing what kind of mischief they could get into. Traveling was another hobby she liked, and she made trips to Washington DC, Niagra Falls in New York and California. A Baptist by faith, she passed on 10/26/2021 in Arkansas. She was 73 years old and will be greatly missed. Nina is preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Andrew and Emma Ketcher and Johnson and Takey (Rowe) Tucker. She joins her mother and father, two brothers, Robert and Johnson, one sister, Mary Ann Hyde, one son, Charles Allen Leach Jr and three grandchildren, Scott Larrabee, Delana Larrabee, and Robert Colton Larrabee. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Sandra Larrabee Wilkes of Carthage , MO, Timothy Tucker of Rose, and Randall Larrabee, also of Rose, OK. She lives on in her five grandchildren, Chuck Larrabee of Jay, OK, Charles Allen Leach (Trey III)of Rose, OK, Skylar Leach and companion, Kevin Collier of Midwest City, OK, Lucky Larrabee of Rose and Spencer Larrabee also of Rose, OK.
