Obituary:
At the exceptional age of 86 after three weeks of a long illness, Christ Ahles, on a Monday morning, met his maker. The deceased was born in Obersgehen, in the county of Trier, Germany, from which as a young man he immigrated to America and lived for over 55 years as a citizen among Stearns County. After 2 years living in the state of Illinois, he was for 4 years in his home city the town of Rockville, 12 years in the town of Luxembourg, and he made his home in St. Cloud.
Four sons, Godhard and William, both from St. Cloud, and John and Matthias from Rockville, are bereaved with the death of the good father. In addition to these, he leaves behind also in Rockville his brother John Ahles. He was the uncle of our County Attorney Paul Ahles. The burial took Place on Wednesday in Luxemburg. May he rest in peace."
