Daughter of Chrystofori (Christofer) Schmartz and Eva Hamper.
Wife of Mathias Ahles (1803-1850). They married Jan 31, 1825 in Körperich, Bitburg-Prum, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany.

Mother of Christofer (1827-1913), Johann Baptist (b. 1829), Mathias, Nicolaus (1834-1844), Johann (1836-1921), Friedrich Wilhelm, and Magdalena.

Margaretha arrived in New York Harbor on July 3, 1854 on the ship 'Leopold 1st'. Other Ahles' on the same ship are: Johan age 24, Fred age 16, Chris age 26, and Johan age 17
