Barbara Jean Peterson, age 85 of Lebanon, passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at the Loretto Motherhouse. She was born June 21, 1936 in Lebanon to the late Robert Leo and Anna Hazel Spalding. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Peterson; parents; and brother James Darrell Spalding. Survivors include her sons, Gene Mark (Glenna) Peterson Jr. of Hillsboro, Joey (Dana) Peterson of Lebanon, Timothy (Suzanne) Peterson of Campellsville, and Doug (Kristi) Peterson of Lebanon; daughter, Debra Peterson of Lebanon; brother, Larry Spalding of Greenwood, IN; sisters, Juanita (Dan) Marra of Estero, FL and Joan Brown of Lexington; grandchildren, Robbie (Regina) and Steven (Shelley) Peterson, Sarah Peterson Marshall, Christian (Elizabeth) Peterson, Madeline (Trevor) Hood and Caroline Peterson, Olivia and Logan Peterson; and 9 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, November 01, 2021 at St. Charles Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
