Illinois Native Dies At Age 100
Annabelle Maurine Jockisch Hayes, age 100, has proceeded on to her eternal life with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 25, 2021 at her residence.

She was born April 13, 1921 to Henry Arthur and Rosa Della Jockisch of Beardstown, Ill.

Her husband of 41 years, Thomas Elwell and her seven brothers and two sisters have proceeded her in eternal life.

She leaves behind three daughters, Carolyn McElliott of Coply, Ohio, Mary Duff and husband, John of Mogadore, Ohio and JoAnn Magner and husband, Jerry of Las Vegas, NV, and two sons, John Thomas Hayes and wife, Armilda of Clifton Forge, VA and Phillip Eugene Hayes and wife, Cathy of Canal Fulton, Ohio; also 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Annabelle was a life long member of Hillwood Chapel of Green, Ohio, and has attended New Hope Baptist Church in Covington, Virginia since coming to live in Clifton Forge, Virginia in December of 2019.

She will be returning to her hometown of Akron, Ohio to be rested alongside her husband. Nicely Funeral Home of Clifton Forge, VA along with Newcomers Funeral Home of Akron, Ohio are attending to her funeral wishes.
