Ray Decker, age 72, of. Alma, passed away Monday, November 30, 1998 at Gratiot Community Hospital.
Funeral services will take place Thursday, December 3, 1998 at 1:00 pm from the Berry Funeral Home in Shepherd with the Rev. Los Munn officiating. Interment will be in the Salt River Cemetery in Shepherd.
Ray was born August 9, 1926 in Shepherd the son of Henry and Bertha (Spillman) Decker. He married Hazel, Andrews on August 2, 1945 in Asheboro, N.C.
He served in the US Navy during W.W.II and retired from Hitachi in 1988.
He is survived by his wife Hazel: a daughter Dianne (Patrick) Dolan of, Westchester, Ill; two sisters, Mable Brickner of Shepherd and Mary Ward of Elwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents and eight brothers, William, Charles, Edgar, Pete, Jay. John, George and Fred Decker.
