Edwin Craven Ballard II, 93, of Rehoboth, MA, passed away, Sunday, October 24, 2021, at Life Care Center, Attleboro, MA. He was the husband of the late Caroline Rose (Strant) Ballard.
Born in East Providence RI, he was the son of the late, Edwin Craven and Margaret (Dwyer) Ballard.
Mr. Ballard had worked as an engineer for Texas Instruments, for 44 years, retiring in 1998.
He was a Veteran of the US Navy, serving during WWII.
He was a member of the Rehoboth Lions Club.
He is survived by a son, Edwin C. Ballard III of Rehoboth, MA, a brother, Bill Ballard of Enfield, CT, a sister, Jean Finnerty Newberry of Wilmington, NC, and three grandchildren, Sophia, Whitney, and Shelby. He was also the father of the late Charles C. Ballard and Suzanne Rustmyer, and brother of the late, Jack Ballard and Katherine Alexander, and Peggy Girr.
Arrangements are by Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., where the family received friends on Sunday afternoon October 31, 2021.
Funeral services were held on Monday, November 1, 2021,at Smith Funeral & Memorial Services, 8 Schoolhouse Rd., Warren.Private burial will take place in Rehoboth Village Cemetery at a later date.
