Julia (Julie) Demott Emerick, 61, of Longview, Texas, formerly of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 in Longview, Texas following a brief illness.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Westview Cemetery.
Born January 12, 1960, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Anne Audrey Bell Demott and George Ronald (Billy) Demott.
Julie had recently moved to Longview with her husband Mark after his retirement. Julie was loyal friend to many, and she loved her family and friends immensely. She was a loving mother, wife, daughter, and sister who always wanted the best for her family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Ralph Alan Demott.
Survivors include her husband, Mark Emerick of Longview; son Josh Bennett of Moultrie; brother Gus Demott and wife Leigh of Clinton, SC; Mark's sons Mark Jr., James and wife Angie, Ralph and wife Kassie; in addition to several grandkids, and great grandkids. Julie embraced and loved her extended family as her own. She treasured her many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be deeply missed by everyone that knew and loved her.
