Lewis Jones died at his home in this place Wednesday after an illness of several weeks' duration. Mr. Jones had been a resident of Calistoga for many years and was one of the most highly respected citizens of the upper Napa valley.
The funeral took place yesterday afternoon from the Adventist Church, of which he was a devoted member, and was attended by many old friends and acquaintances. Interment was made in the Calistoga cemetery.
The deceased was a native of Massachusetts and aged 63 years, 7 months and 8 days. Besides a widow, two children, Mrs. C.B. Banta and C.H. Jones, survive.
