Charles G. Sims passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021. He was 89. Charles was born in Philadelphia and moved to Bristol over 63 years ago. He delivered oil for DeLuca Fuel Oil, was an Optician at Dr. Nurocks Office and loved being a Bristol Borough School Crossing Guard. Charles was also a Bristol Borough Councilman and PA Sgt of Arms. He loved spending time with his family celebrating birthdays, holidays, and weddings, playing cards with his brother in laws and sisters in laws and babysitting his grandsons and then watching them play sports, graduate high-school and college and get married.
He is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Florence Sims. Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years, Eleanor (nee Perrone), daughter Lisa and son in in law Bob Petrizzi, grandchildren Robert and Jessica (nee Harper) Petrizzi, Matthew and Daniela (nee Reilly) Petrizzi, Michael and Alyssa (nee Straiton) Petrizzi, sister in laws, Margaret Mongillo and Mary Perrone along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Family and friends are invited to gather Wednesday, October 27, 2021, from 10 – 11 am at St Ann Church, 357 Dorrance Street, Bristol, PA 19007. Funeral mass will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held private at St Mark Cemetery.
