Pekin - Gertrude M. Renner, 88, of 2501 Allentown Rd. passed away at 2:12 am Thursday, April 20, 2006, at Pekin Hospital.
She was born on May 25, 1917, in Pekin to Hank and Gertrude Lessen Nanninga; she married Henry C. Renner on March 28, 1937, in Pekin. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1995.
Two brothers also preceded her in death.
Surviving are; one son, Charles "Chic" (and Sue) Renner of Pekin; one daughter, Pat Trulock of Taylorville, IL; eight grandchildren, Ric Trulock, Scott (Terri) Trulock, Todd (Irma) Trulock, Kristi (Scott) Bandy, Brad (Nicky) Renner, Darin Renner, Corrie (Dustin) Salmon and Haley Renner; and six great grandchildren, Nathan and Nicole Renner, A. J. Salmon and Avery Salmon, Seth and Luke Trulock.
Gertrude worked part time for Larkin's Bakery in Pekin for 16 years.
She was a 67 year member of the First United Presbyterian Church in Pekin. She was a member of Kings Daughters for over 50 years, Church Women United and the Tazewell County Home Extension Unit #3.
Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday, April 22, 2006, at her church, visitation will 9:30-11:00 am Saturday at the church. The Rev. Robert Scott will officiate. Interment will be at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Noel-Henderson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
