Joyce Annell Allen
MARCH 3, 1927 – OCTOBER 18, 2021

Joyce passed away peacefully on October 18, 2021 in Canton, Texas. She was born on March 3, 1927 in Grayson County Texas to Bernice Delashaw and Verna Mae Cochran Delashaw.

Joyce grew up in Grayson and Cooke counties. On July 1947 at the Rockwall County Courthouse she married her true love, E. F. Allen. The couple had 73 beautiful years together. Joyce loved the Lord. She was a proud servant and warrior for Christ. If you needed prayers, Joyce was first to pray for you. Joyce was devoted to family. She enjoyed cooking family meals and spending time with family. Christmas was her favorite time to enjoy with family and friends. Joyce enjoyed her daily talks with her mother and continued the tradition with her daughter. Joyce best day was spent praising the Lord and spending time with her beloved family. She leaves an empty space in the hearts of all that knew and loved her. Left to cherish memories of Joyce are her Daughter and son in law, Gail and Dennis Kilday; son and daughter in law, Eugene and Delene Allen; grandchildren, Mark Allen, Courtney Chavis, Preston Kilday, Zoie Melton, Mary L. Allen and Lane Allen; great grandchildren, Noah, Savannah, Bryson, Zander and Zane.

Those who went home to the Lord before her are her beloved husband, E. F. Allen; parents, Bernice and Verna Delashaw; sister, Elizabeth Rushing.

"Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all…" Proverbs 31
