Jessie Phillip Johnson, age 94, of Gulfport passed away October 16, 2021.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 59 years, Helen Louise Johnson and; five siblings, Joe Johnson, Dee Johnson, Charlie Johnson, Mary O'Neil, and Gertrude Ladner.

He is survived by his four children, Glenn Joseph Johnson, Emma Louise Dailey, and David Phillip Johnson (Catherine); six grandchildren, Lisa A. Jackson, Jeremiah D. Johnson, Joseph P. Johnson, Jesse B. Bennett, Anthony P. Bennett, and Dylan J. Gurneck; nine great grand-children, TJ Jackson, Austin Jackson, Jayce Johnson, Caitlyn Johnson, Jordan Johnson, Jewels Johnson, Channing Johnson, Landon Bennett, and Cameron Bennett; five great-great grandchildren, Holt Jackson, Emmett Jackson, Carson Holliman, Bentley Jackson, and Rowan Jackson.

Mr. Johnson was a long-time resident of Gulfport, MS and he loved fishing. He served his country during WWII in the Navy. Mr. Johnson loved serving his community; he was a retired fireman, as well as an ordained minister. He aided people in need by helping at the local food pantry.

Visitation will be held from 12 to 2 p.m., Thursday, October 21st at Riemann Family Funeral Home, 11280 Three Rivers Road, Gulfport. The Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Gulfport.
