YORK Margaret V. (Newhouse) Luckenbaugh, 75, died Thursday, December 6, 2007, at Manor Care North. Funeral services and burial will be private. Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, is in charge of arrangements. Born September 10, 1932, in Norristown, a daughter of the late Edward C. and Vada V. (Gibby) Newhouse, she worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse for Drs. Kehm and Shue, and at various nursing homes. Mrs. Luckenbaugh was proud of her LPN degree and enjoyed fostering other nurses through their careers. She also enjoyed helping as the caretaker for numerous elderly family members and watching sports, particularly Penn State football. Mrs. Luckenbaugh is survived by a daughter, Margie Ann Luckenbaugh of York; a son, John H. Luckenbaugh, III of York; three brothers, Norman C. Newhouse of South Yarmouth, Mass., and Joseph R. and John C. Newhouse, both of York; two sisters, Doris J. Cole of Buzzards Bay, Mass., and Joan R. Hoskin of York; and nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Samuel and Billy Newhouse, during their childhood, a stillborn, and adult brothers, Robert and David Newhouse.
