Services for Nettie Saage, 100, of Slaton will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2007, in Slaton's First United Methodist Church, with Rev. Steve Campbell officiating with burial in Englewood Cemetery under the direction of Englunds Funeral Service in Slaton.

Mrs. Saage died Dec. 8, 2007. She was born Feb. 21, 1907, in Williamson County, to Henry and Anna Rieger. She moved with her family to the Posey community as a child. Nettie married Arthur L. Saage on Feb. 2, 1926, in Slaton, and Arthur preceded her in death on March 1, 1987. She was a homemaker and also a member of the Slaton Civic and Culture Club.

Nettie was along time faithful and active member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Lydia Sunday School Class.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Paul Rieger; and sisters, Alma Jones, Lillie Stahl, and Lucy Schnell.


Nettie has no headstone but is buried in the family plot. Burial date was December 4 2007.
