"Wesley W. "Sonny" Rohring, age 79, of Wilson entered into rest on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Wesley was born May 10, 1942, in Wilson, NY. He is the son of the late Wesley R. and the late Elsie (Zastrow) Rohring. Sonny was a graduate of Wilson H.S. class of 1960. He married the late Carol Cecala on January 27, 1978.
"Sonny served in the U.S Army from 1961 to 1964. He was employed by the Operating Engineers Local # 463, also Hasley Construction. Sonny enjoyed building houses, construction and helping others.
"Surviving are his children, * * *; his siblings, * * *; 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Sonny is predeceased by three siblings, Nelson Rohring, Delores Allgeier and James Rohring.
"Calling hours will be Thursday, August 5 from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at Hardison Funeral Home, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville, NY. A prayer service will take place at 4:00 PM with Rev. Ron Haefer.
"In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1905."
